Next steps

Earlier designs for the redevelopment of Folkestone Harbour were revealed to community groups and stakeholders in February. This was followed by a public exhibition in May, and the issues raised have been considered as part of the current design.

 

The attendees at the earlier events included the public plus representatives from resident associations, harbour users, Folkestone Town Council, Go Folkestone, New Folkestone Society, plus Visit Kent and Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce.

 

A planning application is expected to be submitted to Folkestone & Hythe District Council later this year.

 

The council will then undertake its own consultation before making a decision on our application.
